“Live2D is only for people who can draw or code”

We hear this very often... too often, and it's not true at all!

Yes, Cubism Editor does require graphic skills, and Cubism SDK does require programming skills.

But wait. You can still play around with pre-built models without much of any skills.

OK let's set a goal. Your mission:

Control Hatsune Miku real-time on your desktop in 3 minutes.

Yes, after 3 minutes from now, you will see Hatsune Miku smiling at you on your desktop like this:

 The model data includes:
  • Model file (.moc)
  • Texture files (.png)
  • Motion files (.mtn)
  • Setting files (.json)
Don't worry! You don't need to understand what they are. You just have to have them.

Step3. Download Live2D Viewer.

Live2D Viewer is made for quick simulation for checking models and how they move, but we can use it to play around, which is what we are doing now :)

I hope you are seeing on your desktop what I'm seeing right now!

There is a simple app that uses this with intergrated Twitter feed. Visit Shizuku talk page to get it.
